Ted was born in Papua New Guinea in 1965, the first son of Fred and Betty Evans, missionaries with the Assemblies of God mission in the East Sepik District. Ted returned to Australia at 12 years of age to complete his education.

In his teens Ted was an active member in youth at Paradise AOG, led a band called “More than Conquerors” (MTC)and assisted with music ministry at the newly planted AOG at Ingle Farm in South Australia.

At age 21 Ted moved to Brisbane to help his father in the ministry at Taigum AOG church. He commenced the youth group and led the music ministry.

During that time he was employed at Coles where he rose to management position.

Ted graduated from Commonwealth Bible College (Alpha Crucis College) in 1993 and began his full time ministry as an assistant Pastor at Campbelltown Assemblies of God church (Sydney). He then pastored at Spring Street Christian Church, Toowoomba for ten years; the last three in the position as Senior Pastor.
Ted and Kylie recently moved from Whyalla, South Australia, where they were the Senior Pastors of the Family Worship Centre. Ted recently pastored at Acts Church International, in Caloundra, prior to beginning his itinerant ministry.

Ted is widely known for his worship ministry, and is gifted in leading congregations into high praise and worship. His devotional worship style is shown in his two recordings – Ted Evans Worship, and Ted Evans Worship Vol. 2.

As they embark on itinerant ministry, Ted and his wife, Kylie, are looking forward to great increase and blessing in the years to come as they minister in churches across Australia. Their sons, Kristan and Harry, are both following in their Dad’s footsteps, loving God and loving to worship.

The call of God lies heavily upon him, and it is his desire to continue to bless the church in any way through the gifting that God has given him.
